Polestar owners left ‘holding the bag’ after EV brand pulls out of the US

Polestar announced it would cease US operations after the federal government denied authorization for the company to continue selling vehicles in the country. The denial followed a rule restricting vehicles with Chinese-made connected vehicle software. Polestar is headquartered in Sweden and majority owned by Chinese parent company Geely.
