Two powerful federal courts face push to break free from DC bubble as unlikely duo steps in

Senators Chris Coons, a Delaware Democrat, and Ashley Moody, a Florida Republican, introduced legislation called the Better Bench Act to remove the requirement that judges on the U.S. Court of Federal Claims must reside in Washington, D.C. The bill would allow judges to live elsewhere while serving on the court. No vote date has been scheduled.
