Google backs nuclear fusion startup targeting Europe’s first commercial power plant

Proxima Fusion announced a funding round of $468 million to advance its nuclear fusion technology. Google participated in the investment, according to the company. The German startup is working toward building a commercial fusion power plant in Europe.
