Elizabeth Richwine reported that her use of psilocybin mushrooms coincided with a reduction in her headaches and brain fog symptoms. Psilocybin, the active compound in certain mushroom species, is being studied in clinical trials for treatment of various conditions including depression and cluster headaches. Research institutions and private companies are conducting trials on psychedelic compounds as potential therapeutic agents. Richwine's case represents one of many anecdotal reports from individuals using psilocybin outside of formal clinical settings.
