New York City Has a New Tool to Update Its Streets: The Stripe Hog

New York City transportation officials deployed a high-pressure water truck to remove old street markings in preparation for new bus lanes and safety improvements. The vehicle, called a "stripe hog," uses pressurized water to strip existing pavement markings. The tool allows the city to update street infrastructure without fully resurfacing roads.
