Former NY Fed President on Remembering 9/11

William Dudley, former president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, described being on a diverted flight during the FAA ground stop following the September 11 attacks. His plane was unable to land in the United States and was sent to Saint John's, Newfoundland, where passengers remained for six days. Dudley said the pilot did not explain the situation until after landing, and noted that Canadian residents provided housing, food, and clothing to the stranded passengers. He compared the experience to the musical Come From Away.
