Ted Cruz Declares Himself Leader of Opposition to Trump Dividends: ‘I Don't Think We Should’

Sen. Ted Cruz said Thursday he would not support President Donald Trump's proposed $5,000 dividend to American adults in its current form. Cruz said he could back the proposal only if it were restructured as a tax refund for working taxpayers. Trump had proposed the dividend as part of his economic plan.
