DHS hires Catholic theologian who opposes bishops, pope on immigration

Chad Pecknold, a theology professor at Catholic University, was hired by the Department of Homeland Security. Pecknold has publicly supported Trump administration positions on immigration enforcement and the Iran war. His positions differ from stances taken by Catholic bishops and the Vatican on immigration policy.
