Starmer warns Burnham will need to spend as much time on global affairs as he did, in first interview since quitting

Keir Starmer told the BBC in an interview that he found it difficult to accept his political career was ending. Starmer, who served as Prime Minister, said in the same interview that Andy Burnham, who is set to succeed him, should expect to spend significant time on global affairs as part of the role. The interview was Starmer's first since announcing his departure from the position.
