Inspector General: Secret Service Missed 102 Radio Calls About Trump's Would-Be Assassin at 2024 Butler Rally

The Department of Homeland Security Inspector General reported that local law enforcement made 102 radio calls about a shooter at Donald Trump's July 2024 rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, which the U.S. Secret Service did not receive. The shooter, identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, fired at Trump during the event, wounding him and killing one attendee. The Inspector General's office did not specify in available reporting why the Secret Service failed to receive the communications from local police.
