New York Is Relying on Office Conversions to Address Its Housing Crisis

New York is converting vacant office buildings to residential use as a strategy to increase housing supply. The New York Times reported that the pace of office-to-residential conversions has accelerated. In July, two steel columns buckled in the former Pfizer building, one such conversion project.
