US Weekly Jobless Claims Fall, Goods-Trade Deficit Widens

Initial jobless claims fell to 203,000 for the week ending August 22, below economist expectations. The goods-trade deficit expanded to its widest level since March 2025. Michael McKee reported the figures on Bloomberg Television.
