Fusion Firm Gets Major Monetary Boost

Commonwealth Fusion Systems raised approximately $4 billion in funding for fusion energy commercialization, representing roughly 30% of total capital raised by the fusion industry according to the company. CEO Bob Mumgaard stated the goal is to "build a machine that can make this reaction go at very vigorous amounts of energy at an industrial scale," according to Bloomberg Businessweek.
