Angel dad takes major new role after daughter’s killing sparks sweeping illegal alien crackdown

Joe Abraham, whose daughter Katie Abraham was killed in a hit-and-run in 2024, was appointed executive director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement's VOICE office, which handles cases involving crimes committed by noncitizens. Abraham's appointment follows increased enforcement activity by federal immigration authorities. VOICE, the Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement office, was established to assist U.S. citizens harmed by crimes involving noncitizens.
