ActBlue co-founder pleads Fifth Amendment in closed-door House GOP grilling

Matt DeBergalis, co-founder of ActBlue, invoked the Fifth Amendment during a closed-door deposition before representatives from three House committees on January 15, 2026. The deposition was part of a House investigation into ActBlue's fraud prevention practices. DeBergalis declined to answer questions on the grounds of potential self-incrimination.
