Xi Jinping Celebrates Tiananmen Square Massacre at Event Honoring Butcher Jiang Zemin

Xi Jinping attended a ceremony on Monday marking what would have been Jiang Zemin's 100th birthday. Xi stated that Jiang "implemented the correct decisions" during his tenure as China's leader following the 1989 Tiananmen Square events. Jiang Zemin served as General Secretary of the Communist Party of China from 1989 to 2004 and as president from 1993 to 2004.
