Japan wholesale inflation eases slightly to 7.2%, undershooting expectations

Japan's producer price index fell to 7.2% in July, according to data released by the Bank of Japan. Economists surveyed by Reuters had forecast a reading of 7.4%. The previous month's figure was revised to 7.3%.
