ChatGPT and Gemini both just passed 1 billion users

Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced that Gemini reached 1 billion monthly active users, making it Google's fastest-growing product. OpenAI's ChatGPT also reached 1 billion users. Both applications achieved the milestone in 2025 and 2026 respectively.
