Chicago teachers union boss vows to push petitions for Mayor Brandon Johnson’s re-election

Stacy Davis Gates, president of the Chicago Teachers Union, said she would personally collect petition signatures to support Mayor Brandon Johnson's re-election campaign. Gates cited Johnson's allocation of approximately one billion dollars to school funding. Johnson announced his re-election bid in 2025.
