Democratic socialist Melat Kiros poised to become the first Gen Z woman in Congress

Melat Kiros defeated 15-term incumbent Diana DeGette in the Democratic primary for Colorado's 1st Congressional District. The seat is held by Democrats. Kiros will face the Republican general election candidate in November.
