Apple won’t turn on any ‘restricted mode’ for missed lease payments

Apple stated it will not restrict device functionality for customers who miss payments on its Upgrade lease program. Apple spokesperson Brian Bumbery said in a statement to The Verge, "There will be no restricted mode and/or there will be no limitations put on device functionality due to missed payments or default." The Upgrade program allows customers to lease iPhones and other Apple devices with the option to upgrade to newer models.
