Maine Democrats Have a New Working-Class Hero in Troy Jackson. Can He Deliver?

Troy Jackson, a former logger, announced his candidacy against U.S. Senator Susan Collins in Maine's 2026 election. Jackson is a member of the Maine Senate representing District 11. Collins, a Republican, was first elected to the Senate in 1996 and won reelection in 2020 with 51 percent of the vote.
