Trump critic Massie joins Democrats in unprecedented bid to sue White House over Iran war

Rep. Thomas Massie, a Kentucky Republican, joined Democrats in introducing a resolution to sue the White House over military operations related to Iran, citing alleged violations of the War Powers Resolution. The resolution names President Trump and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth as defendants. The War Powers Resolution requires presidents to notify Congress within 48 hours of committing armed forces to military action and prohibits armed forces from remaining for more than 60 days without Congressional authorization.
