Vietnam is looking to restrict social media for kids; here’s a look at growing number of other countries doing the same

Australia passed legislation in late 2025 restricting social media access for minors. The law targets risks including cyberbullying, social media addiction, and exposure to predators. Vietnam has announced plans to implement similar restrictions. Multiple other countries have introduced or are considering comparable regulations on youth social media use.
