Astronomers using NASA's Hubble Space Telescope detected water molecules in the atmosphere of an exoplanet located approximately 97 light-years from Earth. The exoplanet, designated GJ 9827d, was observed to contain water in its atmospheric composition. This finding may assist astronomers in identifying other exoplanets with water in their atmospheres.
