The Supreme Court upheld bans on transgender athletes participating in women's and girls' sports. Justice Brett Kavanaugh wrote the majority opinion. Kavanaugh has coached girls' basketball teams at school, including those of his daughters. The decision allows states and schools to maintain policies restricting transgender participation in female athletic categories.
