Platner officially terminates Senate bid after bombshell rape allegation ends campaign

Graham Platner filed Senate campaign paperwork terminating his candidacy hours before a filing deadline. Maine Democrats said they would select a replacement candidate following the withdrawal. Platner had been the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate from Maine.
