EasyJet agrees in principle to rival £5.7bn takeover bid

EasyJet announced it agreed in principle to a 5.7 billion pound takeover bid from US-based Apollo Global Management, superseding an earlier potential offer from Castlelake. The airline's board recommended the Apollo proposal to shareholders. Apollo is a New York-based investment firm. The transaction's final terms and conditions remain subject to further negotiation.
