Sunday, November 8, 2026
The UK government instructed secondary schools to stop teaching General Certificate of Secondary Education content to students in Years 7 through 9. Officials stated that pupils in those years should receive "richer, more engaging" learning instead. The directive applies to students before they reach Year 10, when GCSE preparation typically begins.
