US Labor Productivity Increases at Fastest Pace in a Year
Thursday, November 5, 2026
US labor productivity increased 2.1 percent in the third quarter of 2026, the fastest rate in twelve months, according to data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The increase reflected output growth that outpaced the rise in hours worked during the period. Nonfarm business productivity, which measures output per hour worked, rose at an annualized rate compared to the previous quarter.
