Playstation and Spider-Man performance see Sony profits surge

Sony reported net profits of 449.60 billion yen, approximately $2.84 billion, for the quarter ended September, a 44 percent increase from the same period the previous year. The company attributed the increase to performance in its PlayStation business and revenue from Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
