Nintendo is losing a Switch cartridge supplier

Nintendo is losing Macronix as a supplier of ROM chips used in Switch cartridges. Macronix announced during its quarterly earnings call that it would phase out ROM production to focus on NOR flash memory for data centers, according to Taipei Times. The company's ROM revenue declined 39 percent compared to the prior year period.
