Runner walks final London Marathon mile six months on after cardiac arrest

Gareth Hopkins experienced cardiac arrest at mile 25 of the London Marathon in April 2025. Hopkins completed the final mile of the race in October 2025, approximately six months after the incident. The London Marathon course is 26.2 miles.
