Foodtastic Offers $750 Million for Restaurant Franchisor MTY

Foodtastic Inc. made an unsolicited acquisition offer for MTY Food Group Inc. valued at approximately C$1 billion, or about $720 million, according to a letter obtained by Bloomberg News. This represents Foodtastic's third approach to acquire the Canadian franchisor, following two previous offers that MTY rejected. MTY operates multiple restaurant brands and franchises across North America.
