US Manufacturing Activity Picks Up as Production Grows

The Institute for Supply Management said Monday its manufacturing purchasing managers index rose to 55.5 in October, up from 54.5 in the prior month. Bloomberg reported the October reading was the second-highest in more than four years, while the production component reached its strongest level since late 2021. Breitbart reported that input-price pressures eased during the month.
