Intesa Plans to Start Monte Paschi Bid in Last Week of November

Intesa Sanpaolo announced plans to launch a 33 billion euro takeover bid for Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena in the last week of November. The bid values Monte Paschi at approximately 37 billion dollars. Both institutions are Italian banks.
