Merck tops quarterly estimates, hikes profit outlook as new form of Keytruda shows strength

Merck reported quarterly earnings that exceeded analyst estimates and raised its full-year profit guidance. The company attributed the results partly to sales of Keytruda, its immunotherapy drug, including a newer injectable formulation. The injectable version performed stronger than expected in the quarter.
