Ofcom outlines ways social media can verify ages of users

Ofcom identified three methods for social media platforms to verify user ages: photo and digital identification, banking checks, and facial age estimation technology. The regulator said these approaches could help confirm users are at least 16 years old. Ofcom did not mandate which method platforms must use.
