Thursday, October 29, 2026
A federal judge rejected the Justice Department's request to halt California's processing and counting of mail ballots linked to more than 20,000 people on the state's voter rolls. The DOJ had sought to sequester or set aside the ballots, citing allegations that the voters were noncitizens. NPR reported the case is not concluded and will likely be appealed.
