Feds crack down on stolen car pipeline to Mexican cartels as 13 charged in border scheme

Federal agents recovered 29 stolen vehicles worth approximately $1.14 million in Operation Southbound Takedown, according to federal authorities. The vehicles were allegedly transported through El Paso to Mexican cartels. Thirteen individuals were charged in connection with the scheme.
