OpenAI rolls out GPT-5.6 after government green light — and announces ‘ChatGPT Work’

OpenAI released GPT-5.6 to the public following approval from the Trump administration, two weeks after the model had been available only to government-approved organizations during a limited preview period. The company also announced a new product called ChatGPT Work on the same day as the public release.
