U.S. measles cases more than double what they were last year as outbreak spreads

Pennsylvania has confirmed at least 1,338 measles cases across 44 counties in 2026, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health. The state accounts for the largest number of confirmed cases nationally. U.S. measles cases have more than doubled compared to the same period in 2025.
