MenB vaccine offers men no protection from gonorrhoea, claims major study

A study found that the Meningitis B vaccine did not prevent gonorrhoea infections in men who received it. The vaccine has been offered to men at risk for gonorrhoea in some health programs based on earlier research suggesting potential cross-protection. The researchers examined infection rates among vaccinated men and concluded the vaccine provided no protective effect against the sexually transmitted infection.
