Argentina to Repay $4 Billion, Defying Critics Who Doubted Tack

Argentina is scheduled to repay $4 billion in dollar bonds this week without accessing global debt markets, according to the nation's finance ministry. The payment comes as the country continues implementing economic adjustments that have reduced inflation from triple digits in 2023 to lower levels in 2025. Argentina has not issued new international debt since 2021.
