Donovan Mitchell signs massive $273M Cavaliers extension as LeBron James return speculation grows

Donovan Mitchell signed a five-year, $273 million contract extension with the Cleveland Cavaliers that includes a trade kicker and a player option in the final year. The agreement was announced in December 2025. Mitchell had been with the Cavaliers since being acquired in a trade in February 2022.
