MidEast Still A 'Highly Uncertain Environment' for Oil, Says Daan Struyven

Daan Struyven, co-head of global commodities research at Goldman Sachs, said the Middle East remains a highly uncertain environment for oil despite a ceasefire between the US and Iran and resumed tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. Struyven said risks around oil supply remain significant. He stated that oil import weakness in China is not sustainable and that the country will aim to restock its oil supply and develop alternative energy sources following recent energy supply disruptions.
