Discord admits AI moderation bug wrongfully banned users over harmless images

Discord acknowledged that a bug in its AI moderation system incorrectly banned more than 8,000 users between May and the reporting date after harmless images including spreadsheets, chessboards, game textures, and transparent backgrounds were flagged as harmful content. The company confirmed the issue and stated it was working to resolve the problem and restore affected accounts.
