Microsoft fixes storage-hogging Windows 11 folder

Microsoft released an optional update in June 2026 (KB5095093) that addresses a Windows 11 storage issue involving the CapabilityAccessManager.db-wal file. The file had consumed several gigabytes of disk space on affected systems. According to Microsoft's release notes, the update "improves disk space usage for the CapabilityAccessManager.db-wal file." Windows Latest first reported the problem.
