U.S. Trade Deficit Widens in May on Record Goods Imports

The U.S. imported goods valued at a record level in May, according to data released by the U.S. Census Bureau and Bureau of Economic Analysis. The trade deficit widened to its highest point in more than 12 months. Imports of goods exceeded exports during the month, resulting in the increased deficit figure.
