Cuba Warns US Sanctions Are Blocking Reform

Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Carlos Fernández de Cossío told Bloomberg that Cuba remains ready for talks with the United States but said sanctions and economic pressure are hampering economic reform efforts on the island. De Cossío stated Cuba would welcome greater US investment and expressed hope that the confrontation could end through negotiations. The comments were made during an interview with Bloomberg This Weekend host David Gura.
